Below are the actual charts showing every trade taken for Corn and 30 Year Bonds.
They are labeled and readable.
Each chart below shows the entry price, the profit target, and the stop loss that were set when the trade was placed. The trade closed at one of those two predetermined prices.
Profit target hit means a winning trade. Stop loss hit means a losing trade.
No estimation, no judgment, no real-time decisions about when to exit. The system tells you all three prices before the trade is placed and the orders go in together.
The spreadsheet entries follow each chart, so you can verify entry, exit, and result for yourself.
About The System:
We have been trading this same way since 2008. Same process across any of the twenty commodities we would routinely trade. Same two commodities now — corn and the 30-year Treasury bond. It is like driving your car to the grocery store and back. The odds are you are going to do it right most of the time.
We don't trade every day. We trade only when conditions are right.
We wait for the two lines to cross. If they don't cross, we have the day off and check again tomorrow. If they cross, we run the Quiet Trader Battle Plan Trading Checklist to decide whether the trade goes on or not. Less than twenty minutes, start to finish.
We start only with a 5K-10K account, never add any additional capital, only risk 3-5% per trade, and typically stay in any trade no more than 4 days.
We get these results because we follow the process. We don't look for good trades. We follow the rules, and the rules keep us out of most of the bad ones.
That's the difference between trading and gambling.
We make money by default.
A note on what you are seeing on the charts
The small blue dashes above and below each bar are the system's dynamic, predetermined profit targets for that bar — above for a buy, below for a sell.
The small dots above and below each bar mark the stop loss point, where we would exit if the trade goes against us.
These levels are generated by the system on every bar, whether a trade fires or not. We always know, before we place a trade, where we are getting in, where we are getting out with a profit, and where we are getting out with a loss if the trade goes against us.
Nothing is decided in the moment. Nothing is improvised.
This is what a rules-based system looks like.
